The interior was straightforward (though high, courtesy of the hayloft void) but the exterior woodwork needed significant refurbishment. Two of the doorways had been converted into window recesses, but we wanted to retain as many of the door features (and original door furniture) as possible. Thresholds needed replacing but also one door was beyond salvage, so we constructed a new door but in keeping with the aesthetic and original function of the building.
