This job was the first time we used one of Farrow & Ball’s newly released colours (Duck Green). It looks unappealing in the tin, but stunning on the wall in the right room. The relative merits of F&B paint can be debated elsewhere, but their palettes are always interesting, and the exceptionally matt, chalky finish of their Estate Emulsion gives real density to dark, strong colours
Also at this property, we papered a mural from Wall Sauce (www.wallsauce.com). The nature of the paper means it handles differently to vinyl wall coverings, and it’s not well suited to taking around corners, and nor would results be perfect on wall surfaces which are not true/sheer (and it cannot be applied on top of lining-paper), but on a flat wall looks brilliant. Definitely to be considered for a feature wall.
