William Morris wallpaper along hall corridor

The length and low lighting of this hallway made the dark, intense pattern of this William Morris wall-covering very effective. The paper is expensive, but excellent quality and heavy, which ensures no distortion or irregularity and means the repetitive designs work very well. We isolated, drained and removed the radiator, and incapacitated and removed the burglar alarm, to ensure we weren’t wrapping/cutting the paper around fittings, and possibly disrupting the pattern – even at an acute angle, we want to avoid the pattern being interrupted behind anything wall-mounted.
